Spring Grant Applications Now Available!

The LFHS Foundation is pleased to announce that a new application 
packet, (see right column) including grant guidelines, is now available for the Spring 2008 Grant Cycle.  If you have a great idea that would benefit the LFHS community and are in need of funding, you can obtain a copy of 
the new 2008 grant packet by downloading the packet (see right column) or by calling or e-mailing Nancy Gunder,  Grants Chairperson, at
847-295-4014/nbrug@comcast.net, or Mary Kay Koerner, teacher representative on the LFHS Foundation Grants Committee at
847-582-7338/mkoerne@d115.org.

In order to be considered for a Spring 2008 Grant, all applications  must be submitted by the deadline on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 4:00 PM.  No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Provide 10 hours of consultative training (University of Kansas Learning Strategies) to Enriched Study and Lunch Study staff and Core Team members (all deans, social workers, psychologists, counselors and dept. representatives).

Twenty (20) copies of “Social Intelligence” Book – $396
Purchase Daniel Goleman’s book for all teachers participating in virtual/on-line book study supporting student’s social/emotional growth.

Eight (8) Heart Rate Monitors – $1,000
Purchase additional monitors to allow ½ of a wellness class to participate in cardiovascular assessment at one time.
