Jim Sullivan Steps Down as Foundation Faculty Liaison
March 2007

The LFHS Foundation wishes to recognize Jim Sullivan for his distinguished service as the LFHS Foundation Faculty Representative. Busy enough as LFHS' Science Department Instructional Director, Jim was instrumental in creating District 115's educational foundation, now in its 6th year.

"Jim played a key role in helping faculty to think through the possibilities of what the Foundation could do for the faculty and students. From the very start, he made the Foundation real," said Allison Pasquesi, founding Foundation Board member and initial Grants Chair.

Through Jim's hard work and leadership, The Foundation tripled the number of grant requests received and the LFHS Foundation is now a "household word" among LFHS teachers. Jim has been a fixture at every monthly Board meeting, and his dedication to facilitating the grants process has been absolutely stellar. "Without Jim and his level-headed leadership, the Foundation would not be where it is today," states Grants Chair, Tracy Hill.

Mary Kay Koerner, Foreign Language Instructional Director, will step up to replace Jim Sullivan. "We look forward to working with Mary Kay in the coming years," adds Mark Saran, LFHS Foundation President.
